More new routes.

SDF was discontinued in March for CLE.

No routes are being discontinued, much to somebody's disappointment. Frequency on hub routes will be reduced.

LGA slots can absolutely be parked. One slot needs to only be used 292 days a year to be kept active. Both DL and AA actively park LGA slots.

Doesn't look like Springfield paid for the flights. Last year, when US resumed service to Fort Wayne, it was due to a $2.5 incentive package provided by local businesses/chamber of commerce.

Besides Goodyear, what else is going on in Akron these days?
NFL hall of fame and a pretty cool car museum?

Doesn't appear to be, but I'd bet there's a corporate contract or three who asked for that and some of the others.
AA is now the largest airline at MEM. LGA-MEM is a very logical add for them.

LGA is a slot controlled airport and slot rules do not allow slots to be "parked."

Unless AA obtained slots elsewhere, they had to reallocate something, even if it is a reduction a flight here or there in a couple high frequency markets.

it is a fair question to ask where those slots will come from and it should be non-threatening to anyone that doesn't fear open and honest discussion.
FWIW pretty sure the NYC airports allow for the 80/20 rule.....

but looks like at least two slots are coming from DFW-LGA.

beat me to it......

Actually, a couple of routes are showing frequency reductions. it isn't anyone wanting anything. that is just what the slot rules require.

And even with 80/20, slots can't be unused for a month or more at a time and if schedules are reduced that much, they will show up on schedule reports.

Not every flight uses the same slot every day. Flight 1 might use Slot A on Mo, Slot B on Tu, Slot A again on We, Slot C on Th, etc., etc.

DL and AA are very good at making minimum use of their LGA slots - something that DOJ should step in and stop immediately.
