More press coverage of Airways

HA HA He blamed his management team in the article. Spineless and dangerous.

Would you rather he blamed the front-line non-management employees?

Parker was entirely correct; his management team has failed miserably. And a public dressing down from the CEO may be what they need. That or pink slips.

I'm convinced that the current management has not just made some unfortunate decisions or has been placed 'in a difficult position' by market conditions, prior management, etc.

I am convinced that current management is just flat out plain STUPID. And I also think they're ignorant about their stupidity.

U's current management still has "regional" mentality. They are fine operating the AWA bases and region, but have no clue how to operate and East coast franchise with 6 Hubs.

Need new management first priority, including CEO and President. Its up to the BOD to recognize the inefficiencies and threat to the airline's overall success going forward. The spike in share price obviously was a temporary gain during a year, post BK, where the company was achieving profits from cost savings. Going forward, this dynamic is not sustainable to ahieve profits. The airline needs to develop a consistent and reliable, fair product that customers will trust and want to keep returning.

Well, Bob, I'm on my way to San Antonio and its not with USAirways, unfortunately.

Personally, I don't think the current union leadership is vocal or able to effectively organize their membership for a picket to change management.

As you witnessed in PHL recent elections, they had some very vocal, competent candidates IMO to simply change their leadership who would have effected the MEC round table, but ended up electing a guy who has a popular newsletter.

Having a big base like PHL with no effective leader but one that has much "hot-air", running around appointing committee people to operate the local, keeps himself off the radar and "hot seat"..

WHEN IS THE PHL ANNUAL MEETING ? YES, PASSENGERS AND EMPLOYEES LEAFLETTING WOULD BE THE ULTIMATE. CALL THE CITY AND GET THE PERMIT!
