On the ''other'' forum, the topic of motorcycles came up in one of the threads. Since we''re always talking about ''getting together'' in this place or that, I thought it''d be interesting to see how many of us are riders, and what we ride. Maybe we''ll bump in to each other ''on the road''.

Mine''s a 2000 BMW R1150GS-ABS equipped for touring. The better half (Crash Test Lady) rides a 2000 Kawasaki Ninja 500. We usually tour on one bike (mine ) and usually run about 20K/year. Expecting a litle more this year with a run to Virginia, and possible the Rockies.

You gotta love the zingers boyz....my ride is a Honda CR125!!!! A true seat of the pants machine...besides the 500 when you wanna have a litte fun!!

Enjoy it while you can, the two stroke is on its way out. You''ll be loving the torque of the XR sreies when you get your next steed.

Hi CTD, BMW eh? I remember that from the flight in Montreal, very nice. My ride is slightly different, a Honda XR 650 R. It''s an enduro, legal for the road (just), water cooled four stroke, designed for the Baja 1000. The tool of choice for blasting the roads and trails of southwestern BC. I''ve had a long range tank put on and the factory power up kit, so the only thing holding me back is how long the back tire lasts (went through five last season). It''s taken me to some cool places, with a smile on my face along the way. Don''t think that I''ll be bumping into you on the road, unless the road is dirt.

My wife wants nothing to do with the thing, and I couldn''t be happier about it.

i get muddie on one and wear the leathers on the other...

but back to CTD, a Miss CTDummie? where did you find a hottie that likes bikes and rides her own? you better buy a lotto ticket pal...

Nice paint job RDM, where d''ya get dat one done by'', Harry Summers Body Shop??

OK where do I start?

4961 - the GS aseries derives from the Paris-Dakar BMW bikes. She loves the dirt roads, but at 600+ lbs, I stay away from mud and sand.

V-Ref - My ex-SheTD had an FX750. We would tour all over. She was also a pilot-engineer. This one''s a steel-ring engineer, who speaks helicopter as well. She was in the dynamics dept at Bell and is now in certification at TC. Now, if I could just get her to wash dishes...

And last but not least - RDM, nice to see Mom let you get a bigger bike this year!!! You da man...

RDM...(laughing my ass off!!!)

OK, tried to edit - still no joy....KYLE!!!!

It was an FZ 750.

Well that was easy....not.

CTD; oh ya I know your bike, very sweet. 600 lbs is a bit much I agree, for the true off road. The radio flyer on the other hand could be too much bike for me, but a boy can dream....
