Normally before Death. The proposed statute was pretty much an assault upon the rights of everyone. The proponents of the bill even admitted the goal in getting it passed was to overturn Roe v Wade.

Here however is a rather simple solution.

I belive it begins at conception. Egg ans sperm join and tbe resulting zygot starts to grow.

That is not what the amendment was about. The amendment was about giving that zygot more rights than the woman who is hosting it. I am of the opinion that a woman must have absolute control over her body.

Just to play devils advocate. I belive the proponents of the amendment feel that they are speaking on behalf of those who cannot speak for them selves. If you belive that, you can not remain silent as embryos are being killed.

I think where their argument falls flat is that they do not seem to advocate programs that would prevent the pregnancies in the first place. Programs such as contraceptives in schools, sex ed, family planning, and the like. Keep the religion out of it. I know they want all kids to stay celibate till marriage. I want to be rich and pretty. My wife says it good to want.

So you start out by saying it is best to stay celibate, but if you insist on having sex,.this is what can happen and here are some ways to mitigate the risk.

Until tray start doing something to actually help stop the problem, they are just aother bunch of 'just say no' idiots. It does not work. Just ask Ms Palin.

Educating (Indoctrinating really) our children is NOT the appropriate roll of Government especially at the Federal Level. PERIOD. They have these people called PARENTS for those tasks. If they are bad parents then ultimately society pays in the form of incarceration, Medicaid, social services and those things are the cost of operating a truly free society. Freedom & Liberty includes you God given right to be a jackass.

Government shouldn't be funding abortions or any elective surgical procedure. If you take "Religion" out, abortion becomes just another e;elective surgery like a Boob Job. We don't dictate to women if they can or can't get big giant plastic Boobies so why dictate abortion?

I believe t is the governments job to protect the welfare of its citizens. Children having babies or women having babies thy cannot take care of does not befit the babies. They are suffering for the mistakes of their parents. Since most parents do not do their parental duties in educating their children about sex I think it falls on the state to step in. No one is requiring people to do anything other than listen to the information. Since tax payers have to pay for the end result in terms of health care, education ... etc I think it is in our interest to at least get the information out there.

This does not prevent someone anyone from being a jack ass. It just gives them the option not to be one.

I live in an imperfect society. I think there are ways to make it better. No one has absolute freedom. There are always limitations.

You're not the first to call me an Anarchist and oddly enough I'm not offended as giving the choice between pure communism and Anarchy, I'll take Anarchy for $500 Alex!

As much as I believe in a pure Libertarian philosophy I think it needs a dose of common sense now and again. So let's take a look at some Federal agencies that aren't specifically permitted or defined by the COTUS

Do we need to inspect the Food supply? Yeah we do sadly.
Do we need to have the Food & Drug Administration? Yeah we do!
Do we need to have clean air and clean water? Yeah we do!

To me the fundamental difference in the way these things are regulated is they err on the side of the Government with heavy handed decisions that are often political in nature, The agencies need to err on the side of individuals. For example take the Dept of Agriculture and it's inspection of meats. They have documents procedure that must be followed. Suppose a company finds or develops a new method that streamlines their process with no effect on the safety of the food but saves millions. The regs for that company need to be changed to allow that company to implement the process and capitalize in the free market, not have to go through years of approvals. This type of thinking is counter intuitive to the average Government drone. It's also how government grows into this monolithic blob of inertia.

So what if the door is opened? The goal is a safe food supply and if the government wants safe meat and their are 240 different procedures that all result in safe food then fine. If the DOA passes the inspection cost along to the meat packing industry, see how fast the industry streamlines its own procedures in exchange for lower inspection fees. To me if we're going to have a DOA, FDA, etc they should be self funded from the fee for service they supply. It's all about competition in as free a market as possible.
