Oh don't worry....we have the best consultants in the industry right now...The Bobs, after they help Lumbergh furlough everyone at Initech 😉

Where are the BOD?

I can see consultants being hired to advise on parts of any business. Especially parts that are not part of the businesses "expertise". Such as hiring a firm to advise on fuel futures and such.

But this company just hired an outside firm to identify and help solve its OPERATIONAL problems.

While I admire the effort the very hiring of the firm speaks to the incompetence of Parker and Kirby and the folks they have in place to run this airline. What in the hell are they being paid for? To hire consultants to tell them what to do?

It is well past time for this BOD to find someone (preferably from Southwest) to run this operation and put into place people who can truly run an airline instead of quasi airline people who see the business as a cash machine and nothing more.

Parker and Kirby are not competent to run the airline they put together using other peoples money. It's time for them to go.

Yeah... right. Didn't you get the the memo on the new TPS reports?

Don't touch my red stapler. (Famous last quote from ex-CCY folks.)

Results are in from the consultants, imagne that is only took them a few days to find the problem, here is a list of problems we encountered and feed back from the many
employee's.

1. inept managment, don't know how to run a airline or
kno whow to treat thier employee's. too many inexperienced old hp managers trying to run a company
in tempe and at stations.

2. computer system, the fool who suggested this system
a great BSer, the only wat for him to keep his job.
computer system useless, can't us a system that is
unproductive

3. very low low low morale, you stole money from the poor
employee's , that can't make a living.

4. No communication whatsoever,

5. Customer Service what is that, you don't have any
no tools for agents to do their jobs, and are written up
because they did no preform their duties, but its the companies fault and the agents are blamed.

Well Us these are the findings, you need to make changes
we know you will not take our suggestions and act on it
so thanks for the mega bucks you given us, one the easist
jobs we have had. It was so simple anyone could see the
problems, your employee's know it, some very bad decision making.

Hiring consultants. Now that is funny. These idiots are surrounded by LEGACY AIRLINE EMPLOYEES who know how to run an airline. It's free, we will give you answers, but, oh I forgot, if you are USAir, Piedmont or PSA employees, you don't know what you are talking about!

over the years-25+ - have seen many cosultants come in , also the wonderful-sic- 'idea's that fly' program.....just another way to spend the money and show BOD and investors, that they care about 'fixing' this ####, when we all know the truth....dosent fix, help, correct or anything worthy of the investment....in the end $$$$$ gone, nothing gained, employess still FUBAR, except less of them ,as the ususal cause is to LAYOFF...lol..again

I don't get it!! The company wants to waist money to hire consultants when they never bother to "consult" those that are actually IN the industry and have years of experience. WE are your CONSULTANTS!!

I'll tell you what ( oh God, I AM back in the south) Tempe, you all read these threads. If you pay me my monthly pay and per diem for every hour away from home in Tempe and of course accomodations, I would be HONORED to be a consultant to US Airways. I have 20 years in this industry and have seen the good, bad, and ugly. I understand what the public wants...both biz and ma/pa kettle..,and am eager to see US Airways climb out of this hole.

I....NO...WE know US Airways and it is insulting that you PAY for consultants and ask for volunteers who are overworked and underpaid to converge to the HQ on their days off to tell you what you should already know for free, but are more satisfied to hire consultants to somehow affirm what we all know. That makes no sense. Give those of us who are passionate for change a chance.

IF interested...and thats probably a huge IF...personal mail me.

The difference is that we the employees don't offer kickbacks like consultants contracted from the outside for exhorbitant fees.

Well...now that I think about it...we do provide monetary incentives for upper management. They just come to pick our pockets while the unions hold them open for them.

One obvious conclusion that these consultants should reach very quickly is the undeniable fact the qik/shares is the biggest POS res system in the industry and should be replaced as soon as feasibly possible. The only hope to getting our operation on proper footing is to get back SABRE ASAP. We are once again at the bottom of the gov't stats. We are doing better from 65% OT to 67% according to the Sandcastle. BIG WHOOP. Number 10 is still number 10 and it is not improving. I am tired of using Playschool tools to do my job. I want a real, professional system again.

Ufortunately, consultants that tell their clients they are in over their heads do not stay in business long.

A tweak here, a cheap fix there, and here is where jobs can be eliminated. Give us the money you saved by putting them on the street. That is how consultants stay in business.

What Tempe needs to hear is "Face the obvious, you are the worst management team in the industry, even your Express carriers have better on-time performance. No simple advice can fix stupid."
