New Cessna Single In Development?

Rumor has it (a very good rumor) that Cessna is in the final stages of development of a new low-wing single engine high performance aircraft. Obviously this aircraft would feature the G1000 and purportedly either use FADEC gasoline or diesel engine technology. After that the story gets fuzzy. Anyone know anything about this?

If Cessna, or any other GA manufacturer for that matter, could figure out how to either bring back the Cessna 152, or design a new 2-seater that could criuse at 125kt for under $50,000, I'd buy one tomorrow.
