Maybe we need to distance ourselves from clowns whom just pop-up on the internet...whom have nothing else to do but stir the pot.

AND MAYBE NOT EVERYONE IS AS COMPUTER SAVVY AS YOU PHANTOM.

I worked for both PSA and US Airways and happen to know that before US Airways took over PSA and destroyed the west coast that the Mechanics and related at PSA were Teamsters.

Beings exIAM&IBT stated in his post he may be vested with the Teamsters while at PSA tells me this person more than likely has more time in front of the urinal than you have on the property.

While exIAM&IBT may not be as internet savvy as you this person has asked a legitimate question and IMO deserves an legitimate answer.

For anyone interested:

All IAM members have the option to sign a Teamsters Union Authorization Card if they want to try and have a vote on which union will represent US going forward.

To have the NRLB call for a vote, 35% of all eligible members (HP/US) must sign cards. If less than 35% sign up, then it will stay with IAM. If more than 35% sign cards, then it will go to the membership for a vote of which union they want representing them.

If you want to sign an IBT Card, go to www.teamsterslocal104.org

On the homepage there, go to FORMS, then open Teamsters Union Authorization Card. You can print it out and mail it in.

Also on homepage is a position statement "9-12-05 Read Teamsters Union Position..." on merger. 😛

It would be nice if you gave out correct information, the NLRB has nothing to do with union elections under the Airlines and the Railway Labor Act, it would be the NMB.

Second it takes 35% to have an election, not change unions, during the election a union has to gather 50%+1 of all eligible voters, that would include the several thousand laid-off US Mechanic and Related, so if either union fails to gather 50%+1 of all eligible voters you are not non-union and the company can do as they want.
