The agreement includes base wage and license premium increases, improved overtime rates, new shift premiums and participation in IAM's national pension plan for US Airways' mechanics and related employees.
The agreement would link contracts for mechanics from America West Airlines and the former US Airways, which combined in September 2005. The airline's mechanics currently earn between $16.10 and $23.69 an hour and would see 10-12 percent raises, & would be followed by 3 percent raises every year until 2011, plus new overtime rates.
