When will they get rid of the old stale marketing dept? Not soon enough. When will DAL get a clue?

Sad indeed.

Actually Delta's marketing department is better than what we've seen in quite awhile! I think they're doing a terrific job.

It's nice to see DAL have the flat seats, but is this the best design?

I don't want someone's smelly feet next to my face. DAL must have had someone in house design it, must have been marketing! When will they get rid of the old stale marketing dept? Not soon enough. When will DAL get a clue?

Sad indeed.

In house? The company is from Northern Ireland.

The photo doesn't show the privacy screens. No smelly feet in your face. Sit in it then judge.
These new seats announced today for the 767s will result in very little BE capacity shortage; as announced, the 764ER BE cabin will see 40 seats in total, compared to 42 today.

If Delta went with the "Solar" suites (as in what the 777's are getting) in the 767-3ER It would reduce capcity
from 36 to 24....

It seems that Thompson solutions was the only SMART option/solution for Delta.
I am sure Delta's customers will love it.

Not many US carriers out there offer a Business Lay flat seat/suite.

Sad indeed? How so? I never thought i'd see the day when somebody would complain about true lie-flat business seats on a U.S. carrier. And when did the Marketing Dept. of any airline dictate the style of seating? Contrary to your assertion, this is not an "inhouse" design, rather, this is a UK-based company called Thompson Solutions.

Here are additional pictures, and, as you can see, there will not be a passengers foot next to your head.

I think that its a very sharp and smart look. The offset design means that your feet aren't trapped under the person in front of you like other buisness lie-flat's I've seen.

I said I like the seats, not so much the design as depicted in the pic. However, the photos from the attachment is much better than the clip art.

So what dept. decides what seats to put on a plane and decides on the design, even if the design is "outsourced"?

Will the flight crew, F/A's and pilots have the flat seats for crew rest?

Delta should have pictures of the cabin interior on their website....well, maybe not. Nevermind.

Fly Flat, it's the only way to fly!
