On Deltanet today was a link to a news story that some of the voting rule changes that went into place last summer are not being overturned? Anyone have an interpretation of what this means?

It seems someone thought for representation to occur it should take a majority of the class and craft to agree, not just those that decided to vote.
Even though the unions had their balloons filled and parties planned (thinking it was a cake walk) it didn't happen.
So I believe it doesn't really matter which rules they use.
The unions claimed interference(how dare the company tell people to vote).
It's our livelihoods and choice let it rest already.
P.S that last sentence was to the different unions not the poster.

Listening to Neal Boortz the other morning, a DL FA called in saying she and others were tired of the AFA trying to weasel their way into DL. They've been rejected 3 times and have had the rules changed "Again" and that they will lose "Again" !

Never fear though Conehead, when they lose again , I'm sure they will start whining, b!tching and moaning ................"Again" !

Oh! and she also said she and others were also tired of being threatened and harassed by the union and pro-union fellow employees !

Don't worry. One of the FAA reauthorization votes is said to be overruling the NMB (which Congress can do) and reverting representation elections back to the past practice of 50%+1 of the population to be represented.

NMB may have been within their authority to change the rules, but if the language stays, then I guess Congress just revoked that authority...

<_< ------- It may get interesting when AMP tries to displace the TWU at AA.
