NMB finds potential interference by afa-CWA

Because the AFA doesn't "Like" the NMB, or doesn't "Feel" they are pro Union makes it ok
to do what they please? "We don't agree with them so its ok to do what we want"
justifing bad behavior?
Why is is that the intereference seems to come from the AFA? 3-4 times a day calling?
Both from the DC area and from my home state rep.

• Furloughed flight attendants - the AFA asked the NMB to rule that Delta flight attendants on furlough status no longer have a valid employment relationship with Delta

SHAME FULL

• Flight attendants on disability status - the AFA asked the NMB to rule that flight attendants on disability status do not have a legitimate expectation of returning to work

SHAME FULL

• Flight attendants who volunteer for special assignments - the AFA claimed that those flight attendants are really part of management and should not have a voice in the election

SHAME FULL

• Flight attendants in training who completed their IOE before the NMB ruled that there would be an election - the AFA asserted that the NMB's rules made those employees ineligible

SHAME FULL

I am sure the monitors are capable.
Here is your link. Says the same thing.

Oh yeah, the Cobweb site.
Danny has done a most excellent job there as well. If you run through the postings, he gets the last word in, in about 98% of them. They simply have no answer for the information he delivers. I think it's actually a boon for the pro-union side.

NO WAY...this can't be true...AFA has done something wrong. Impossible! It has become annoying and abusive each time you walk into or out of the lounge being harrassed and intimidated. Yes harrassed, by DL and NW AFA activist going into work and on the phone is getting old real fast. This behavior really shows how the AFA can unify and make us more respected as Delta Flight Attendants, NOT. AFA always has an answer for everything and fails to accept responsibility for their own mistakes. While Danny may always get the last word in I suggest you check all of the facts given. If all the information was given in the first post than there would be no going back and forth, i.e. the make up of the NW equity payment cash versus what was placed in their 401k, the various W2 statements, even though NW may contribute up to 6% to a 401k how much do the match?, etc. By the way the AFA has promised that DL F/A's will be negotiating their own contract if AFA is elected. With the current merger activity I find it hard to believe that DL will ever be able to negotiate a contract for themselves, will AFA permit that or will we have to wait until we are a combined group?
And why is it that when someone does not support the AFA they melodramatic? The same can be said by what the AFA activist are promising us. I have heard some interesting reasons as to why some people have voted yes based on what AFA told them. We will get all our money back, we will get our pension back, we will not longer be subject to re-routes, etc. The truth is every item we have or could obtain has a price tag on it and they don't realize that something will have to be given up to get something in return.

I don't respond to PRETENDERS. When you can make up your mind as to which airline you're working for today, then maybe we can have a dialogue.
Here are two examples of YOU posting on the AA board as an AA Flt. Attendant.

Minor correction on NMB Board Members: The Senate last confirmed the appointment of two members of the National Mediation Board on December 9, 2006.

Elizabeth Dougherty joined the Board December 13 as a new member. She finished the term of outgoing member and chairman Edward J. Fitzmaurice, Jr, through June 30, 2007, and then staryed to serve a full three-year term expiring July 1, 2010. An attorney, Dougherty most recently has been Special Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy at the White House, covering labor and transportation issues.

Harry R. Hoglander returned to the Board for a second term. A member since August 6, 2002, he served as Chairman from July 1, 2004, through June 30, 2005. Before serving on the Board, Hoglander was a legislative specialist to a member of the House of Representatives. A pilot, he was for six years a labor representative to the U.S. Aviation Bi-Lateral Delegation. He previously had served as Master Chairman of the TWA Master Executive Council, Executive Vice President of the Air Line Pilots Association, and a Captain for Trans World Airlines.

The remaining third member of the Board is Read Van de Water, confirmed in 2003. She and the others were all nominated by President George W. Bush. She has not been reconfirmed but will continue to serve until she quits or another is confirmed in her slot.

Come July 1, 2008, both both Read Van de Water and Harry Hoglander could be replaced. However, this is unlikely in a election year.
