Newer aircraft?

I think you got this statement wrong. Most of the LCC's with the exception of Allegiant, ATA, and Midwest, which aren't the LCC that anyone is really worring about, earn more than UA pilots on the same size equipment............... Point your finger where it should go at yourself.

Yes, bizman. You're right. Us Legacy guys were using our discount airline pilot pay rates to help subsidize our profits and undercut our competitors in the late 90's early 2000's. Yeah, we were really lowering the bar back then! That's rich. Then you criticize us when we're forced into bankruptcy because we weren't competive with LCC's paying their pilots less than half in total compensation than we were making, with no retirement to boot, and basically we're forced to match those LCC rates. Bizman, if you're a LCC pilot/employee, and you honestly think the likes of UA or US Air lowered the bar, be prepared for a dose of your own medicine over the next several years. The downward spiral has begun, and you and I both know where and when the swirling started. HINT: It was't at a legacy carrier.
