Northwest DC-9's

In addition to being more cost effective than CRJs, the DC-9s are also more popular with passengers.

Starting Aug, ROC is losing 1 NW DC9 and 1 CRJ200 and are being replaced by XJ CRJ900's (with 1st class! yeah!)
Don't know if they are more fuel efficient but I think they they hold less seats than the 9 but more than the 200.
And yes, more people "like" the "big planes" but trust me, if its a dollar cheaper they will fly on Uncle Ernie's Bi Plane.

The CRJ900 holds 76 (12 & 64), but is still just as cramped as a -200....
