Guys, this is the beginning of a ugly period in the industry. 🙁nostradamus said:An airline declaring BK is not fun. I have been trough it. Trust me, calm your family down, turn off the TV for a couple of days, everything will be all right. Put it in perspective, life goes on. Get a hold of yourself and follow my advice.

Hey, I'm not a scab and I'm not trying to piss you off.chasbatl said:Actually we stated quite clearly we wouldnt work for the terms NW offered no need to predict if we would be replaced. There have only been 6 scum to cross the picket line out of 4,000. Do you think we are that worried about being replaced? What hole do you live in? If you knew anything about the strike other then what the company tells you then you would know if it comes down to accepting the companies offer then we would rather not work for NW.
One thing i cant figure out is, NW wanted a 26% paycut and 2000 in layoffs to save the company from BK. They got 100% paycuts and 4000+ in layoffs and look where they are now. Looks like the scabs couldnt quite cut it because if things are going so great as NW says then why the BK filing? Maybe the next management team will actually know something about managing an airline.

Go stand outside your nearest gas station... Fuel was the final nail in the coffin for both NWA and DAL, and will most likely be for FlyI.
NWA was likely going into Ch.11 with or without a labor agreement from AMFA. It will be interesting to see how many of the contract maintenance outfits actually get paid for the past 30 days.... If they weren't getting cash up front, they're screwed.
