Why would you post a picture that is detremental to your union bro's.  This is an old picture.  Obviously the work done here was done by (S)Amfa members.  You guys are shooting yourself in the foot.

<_< This is not an old picture, it looks like the 747 in Guam! That recovery was done "AFTER" the Brothers went on strike!!!!!

He's likely a "Knobby" fan and thinks AMFA should have let the NWA AMFA membership vote to cower (even with a 92% strike vote) like the iam Depace believers are crying. The iam did just that at US Air and UAL... cower to the man.

Even more despicable is the iam "leaders" telling their members not only to cross the picket lines, but to do actual struck work.

This constitutes a scab badge for life.

Even worse than this, the iam scabs are long time NWA employees. How sad for them, and the labor movement in general. Depace the scab herder is an example of whats wrong with industrial unions today.

I hope the iam strike fund is enough to live on, its going to be drained very soon I believe.

(Note: There are some NWA iam members that see the storm coming, and are refusing to perform struck work. They know they will have no leadership when its their turn to fight.)

Well, the AMFA fruit loops seem to not understand that they WERE paid to maintain aircraft NOT paid to run NWA. If you dont like the way the company is run the answer is simple.....get another job; however that being said I do VERY much agree that maint. should never be performed out of the country and we need a law requiring maint. on US aircraft be performed in the US ONLY!!!!!!!!!!!

If NWA was a privately held company OPUS i might agree with you, but seeing as how it is a publicly traded company with many AMFA members having stock in the company and are essentially part owners then if they dont agree with how management is running the company they have a valid point in complaining.

AMFA "FRUIT LOOPS", I don't think so! The "fruit loops" are those fifth rate knuckleheads hired as scabs.

No I am sorry "princess" they are not "knuckleheads" they are better at the job than the AMFA mechs and that has been PROVEN, not to mention they have more integrity than the AMFA mechs considering the mess they created prior to departing from their jobs. If they want their jobs back they are welcome to them; however knowing what I now know if they were back turning the wrenches I wouldnt feel safe flying NW, but I certainly do now. I am not about union busting that is not what this is about for me, maybe it is for NWA maybe its not, but A&P's are A&P's FIRST and union members SECOND. As for NWA being a publicly held comp. that is true, but to have the right to have anything to say about the running of the company you have to own stock that is not common stock, that is not the cased with the AMFA memebers stock, so their stock doesnt give them the rights that they think it does the only right it gives them is to sell it if they dont like the way the company is run or to buy it all up and do a hostile take over. It is all about REALITY and I dont mean this in any hostile way but geez these guys have to wake up and smell the globalized screwing we have gotten, all of us. You either function in it or drown trying to swim against the tide and AMFA is drowning.

When I worked at Braniff/Dalfort the IBT would allow the company to bring in "contractors" when the workload got really heavy. A lot of these contractors were boozers and drug addicts. I wouldn't trust them with a bicycle much less an airliner. So far,I have recognized three or four in the scab photos at local 5's website. Can't remember their names, because it was so long ago, but I do remember some of the shoddy repair work that they did at Dalfort. One of the these scabs I recognized because he managed to somehow cross the rudder cables of a UPS DC-8. Somehow,It wasn't noticed until the airplane took off from Love field on it's first flight out of overhaul. The pilot's had to make an immediate emergency landing. The others I recognized were total "HACKS". They damaged more sheetmetal than they repaired. Needless to say they didn't last long at Braniff/Dalfort, but now these wonderfull SCAB individuals are working for Northwest. Have a safe flight!

AMFA drowning? That's a laugh coming from someone fearing to identify themself. AMFA at NWA is standing tall and others are coming to their assistance because this is a battle for ALL of Labor.

If you know so much about the SCABS at NWA tell me why over 260 have quit. Tell me, why these SCABS scare flight crews. Your cowardly posts do one thing. They show everyone that you are nothing more than anti-labor. Keep up the good work. 😉

Princess, Dalfort was a pig pen and that is being nice, everyone knew that, hence they are no longer around. I never worked there because of the reputation the place had. They didnt want to put a cent into maint. if you were there you know that is true. I dont know what position you have but most A&P's dont do sheetmetal work except minor stuff that is mostly for the sheetmetal guys. Are all contractors great, no, every group has its bad apples and they get weeded out or stuck in horrid places like Dalfort. We know that there are some bad apples in the AMFA group as well, but lets hope that that is not the majority of them. I think the majority of them are just mislead by a union with extremly poor timing (republican administration ect) and pathetic priorities (no strike fund but Delle's got a great million dollar weekend house) seems some of the things the AMFA mechs are accusing NW managment of better look at their own house (AMFA) first. As for this drinking mechanic incident that supposed to have happened, if it is true I hope the guy looses his tickets and NEVER TOUCHES A PLANE AGAIN HE HAS NO RIGHT NEAR AN AIRCRAFT!!!!!!!!! EVER!!!!!!!!!! PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess you should have bought more stock. The more you own the more you get to complain. Why don't you go complain to AMFA, You paid them for the services they are providing for you with. Was it worth it?

The rules according to PTO?

Chasbatl makes a correction and you try to change the rules. The fact is these guys are owners and they have every right to complain about how management is running the company. And they have the right to complain as much as they like to every other owner even if they only own one share.

How much do you own of the company you work for?

Princess, do you like your life? Are you ever happy? Are you satisfied with your life? You sure do come across to me as a MISERABLE person that hates life and hates themselves. Do you really think AMFA is going to win this strike?
