I would use the word astonishing...

Only in present-day America would executives who drove a company into bankruptcy (like the clowns running NW) be rewarded in such a manner.

The unnamed bankruptcy judge from the article has to be Steenland's lackey Judge Wedoff, don't you think? 😉

I wonder if there is any wording in this provision to protect their golden parachutes in the event of a buyout as well... <_<

It doesn't matter how these scum justify their salaries, THEY ARE THIEVES! The judges who allow it, in light of the struggles of the average nwa worker, are their accomplices. While these salaries and guarantees are not of the level of say an ENRON scandal, hopefully there will still ba a few of us around to point to the crime when the house falls down around them.
