I wonder why now? Alas, I am thrilled that my sisters and brothers will returned to the line!

This is GREAT news, AND the only legacy were every F/A is working.

I rode on a p6 yesterday, and sat next to a NW F/A(27years), who told me a "ton" of f/a were "getting out' by years end.

So putting these 2 things together spell good news for BIG RED F/a's

NH/BB's

I think that this is awesome. In todays world where everyone is looking to cut a body here and there, it is beautiful to see that all F/As are being recalled. My cousin's wife was in the last class before 9-11. She has gone on to different things now, but it certainly nice to know that she would have gotten back. Keep on trucking NWA!!!

As an interesting aside, in my city's newspaper today, there was an ad for FA recruitment @ NWA. Hadn't seen anything like that in years....

Hey Kev,
I just looked at the ad you mentioned, and at the bottom, it says "if you successfully complete the training, you MAY be offered employment in the event of a labor dispute or strike." Looks like they are searching for SCABS!!!

The ad is on WWW.OREGONLIVE.COM you just need to follow the online ad stuff. I don't know how to post a URL on here. Sorry.

WOW.

I guess I should have read the small print! I was just excited that one of our work groups was going to be growing. Leave it to NWA to be as insidious as ever. Hope they don't get a single response.

HI, I am a furloughed fa from another major(not NWA although I did try twice with NWA and was rejected both times five years ago!), and I went to the link for the job posting. Is this for real? What is PFFA doing about this? I mean many of us loathe flying for commuters/regionals and are anxious to get back to mainline flying, but one has to be rock bottom desperate to be a scab. I am a union person but this is unbelievable. What's the scoop here?
Thanks!

I guess the scoop is that NWA is banking on enough people wanting to be with a mainline carrier to build up an ready to go work force in the event of a labor disruption. I hope that people interested in flying for a legacy carrier will read between the lines and see what is going on... there is an AA flight attendant who is a prominent poster on an AA message board who was an 86'er at TWA, and to this day it still hangs over her, poisening her credibility and so called "good" intentions. Crossing a picket line will brand you for life.

What dogs her more than being a scab at TWA is that
1. She first tried to deny that she worked for TWA at all until a picture of her in her TWA uniform was published on a website.
2. She then tried to deny that she knew there was a strike going on at TWA at the time. Well, until some former TWA flight attendants pointed out that she would have had to be carried to and from the training center in a soundproof box and never look out the window from the training center. There were picketers at the training center every single day that scabs were being trained during the strike.

The point of my post was simple.....crossing a picket line is a choice that will haunt you for the rest of your life.
