Obama not a friend of Big Labor?

I hope the merger fails!!!
Why?
Well first of all our Plan A was to come out of BK on a stand alone plan. We had our contracts abrogated and lost our retirement medical and pensions frozen on this plan. Then after all is said and done AA decides to go after the merger mania.
Now they say the merger is better for the two companies to succeed. Our union leaderships and company leaders want this merger. I do not. We were suckered again.

Over 5 billion cash in reserves.
Largest aircraft order in Commercial aviation history.
All the financing was set up pre BK and remained intact in BK.
Millions spent on painting the fleet and marketing the new brand.
I thought BK meant your broke and need to reorganize to survive. We are in BK and have money for all this? Really?
So why BK?
Only reason was to break our contracts and kill our pensions and retirement medical.
Now they say a merger is needed for survival. AA posting profits while in BK and yet we are broke?
We got suckered in 2003 and in 2012 and now we must have a merger. That makes sucker number three.

No politician or political party is union friendly. Once we understand this and accept it we can move on and deal with it.

Obama is a friend of big labor, bad thing is big labor is no longer on the same page or agenda as the union membership, so he is no friend of yours or mine!

That post made more sense then many others here have in a long, long time.
Thanks, it is the truth. Big Labor leaders now lobby for laws and changes in policy that do not benefit the union membership but instead assist in the ability to increase and sustain union dues collections. Big Labor runs more like a Big Business, than a representational body looking out for the good of the members. Big Labor is about money, not representing yours' or my best interest.

Sorry, but that's on Fox News, so it means that Obama really is a friend of labor...
