"Obama to Officially Launch 2012 Campaign on Karl Marx’s Birthday!"

Do you think those 6000 that showed up will vote for Romney in Nov, since he'll be the GOP nominee or sit at home cryin' and let Nobama continue to run this country into the dirt ?

I don't know. My suspicion is they will throw their support to Libertarian Gary Johnson. We are seeing some evidence of this already with Johnson polling at 7% in New Hampshire. I know for me I will NOT be voting for Mitt Romney or Mr. Obama, however I will vote.

Some how, some way, we need to break the stranglehold that the Democrats and Republicans have on the country. This is one of the primary reasons I do support Ron Paul. Not because I agree with everything he says but because I think his message deserves to be heard. The problem is that the state party people have made it nearly impossible for even a well organized group like the Libertarians to get on the ballot in all 50 States. Even Perot with his billions was only on the ballot in 48 states.

Problem here isn't Ron Paul, Mitt Romney or Barack Obama it's the rigged deck of ballot access.

Sorry but, typical, whiney Paul-Bot reply !

So basically, your vote won't count for diddley-squat !

Would you rather I be dishonest? Question was asked, I answered.

So in your infinite wisdom exactly how will Romney be different? Still the same fiat currency, still the same empire building foriegn policy so how will we be different?

Gettng rid of the electoral college would be a good start in my opinion. Until that happens it will be a two party system.

The Electoral College has little to do with the maintenance of a two party system.

Eacj state has their own ballot access laws. So being good little democrat or republican do you makes the acess laws inclusive and risk defeat by say Libertarians of the Green Party?

OR

Do you make it as restrictive as is legally possible?

Did you know that in NJ you can't even register as anything other than Republican, Democrat or Independent?

The group that has spent 30 some million to have ballot access for a third party run but hadn't selected a candidate gave up after 31 states. The most organized of the 5rd parties, the Libertarians will likely only be on 49 of 50 state ballots.

This was and is a huge part of Ron Paul's message. See, you think you're free but you're really not. As a nation we as individuals have lost an alarming amount of our Civil Liberties and few seem to care. With out Liberty there can be no wealth building unless you're a whore in the System.

First "Forward", now this ?

Are you people really that blind or really just deep down Socialists ?

Obama will officially launch his 2012 re-election campain, and no I’m not kidding, on Karl Marx’s birthday, May 5th! First, we learn that Earth Day was started on the birthday of Vladimir Lenin, the Communist butcher and founder of the USSR, now we learn that Barack Obama, America’s first Marxist president, is launching his campaign on the father of communism’s birthday? Come on, now. This is just too appropriate! How fitting!

You would appreciate a union if you worked sanitation on Earth Day.

You bring up a good point, but it will never happen. Want the truth? Then don't take my words out of context. This is just an observation and my opinion. My country of origin is a Republic. Republic has nothing to do with Republicans anymore than Democrats have to do with Democracy...oh, face the facts!!! In my country of origin the house votes for the president. Here it's the electoral college. People don't elect a president in a Republic. Sad but true.

The two, three, five, ten, etc. party system is a divide-and-conquer concept that has worked since Adam or the ameba!

How the parties chose their candates is not my concern so much as how the country gets to choose it's president. I live in TX. My vote does not mean squat. Texas has not voted for a democrat since 1980. Whether I vote or don't vote for president does not matter in the current system. I suspect quite a few do not bother showing up because they do not believe their vote matters. Get rid of the EC and every vote matters. The EC is an antiquated idea for a time long gone. Get rid of the EC and it opens the door for a multi party system.

And of course the restrictive state access laws have NOTHING to do with the above? No Cause & Effect? The EC has NOTHING to do with an open door for a multi party system! Why? In order to have a multi Party system you have to get on the ballots in the freaking states! DUH!

A valid point but with a winner take all it does not matter who is on the ballot. Both changes are needed.
