Say what you will, we still get pretty good service at PIT from US. It would be a heck of a lot nicer if we got directs back to SAN, BTV, PWM, MHT, and so on.... but its not too bad. Perhaps OCC will be staying in PIT?🙂

As a matter of fact.....'his kind' have lately begun to

Yep....the 4-3 defense is the dominant kind of defense in the NFL these days and many are/were upset with our new coach coming to town who has been a student of the 4-3 which could present some mindset changes after all these years of Pittsburgh's defensive dominance relying on the 3-4.Last time I checked theres only about two teams using the 3-4 anymore.

Seriously, PIT is above the Mason/Dixon... so you'll always have that thinking.
Football wise, I've heard he likes the running game. He knows we have a defensive tradition, so he knows he needs to maintain that for us to do well.
I was really hoping Whiz would take the job... but he couldn't wait for the opening.
Wasn't refering to anything racial...... Tomlin and most of the NFL coaches prefer 4-3 defensive schemes...whereas the Steelers and I think Tampa use 3-4...The Pittsburgh mindset panics a little with a possible change on defense,but Tomlin will probably mix it up but still go 3-4.Hence two schools of thought on defense.

The important thing wrt defense is he does understand the concept of it. To diehard Steeler fans, that is paramount. If we get an offensive coordinator that can build around Big Ben and Fast Willie, all will be well.

I too was disappointed that they didn't give the job to Whiz....that was a loss for us. I can't wait to see the Steeler plane though, that should be really cool!!
I was sorry to see Cowher hang it up....but he wasn't in to it as his sideline semantics showed.Rooney said Tomlin was a long shot and they didn't consider him until near the end.Funny thing.....they also said two other past coaches were long shots....Noll and Cowher.Based on their past intuition,I have a hunch Tomlin will do well....after all they got Dick LeBeau for a mentor if he needs one,but he seems to be well versed in football and I wish him the best.I like Ken Anderson as QB coach...he was a pretty good dude in his day.I'm sure Ben will do well under him.

isn't that The TRUTH! The Steelers are one of the LEGENDARY teams in all of sports that can Rightfully claim the use of the word "DYNASTY". (If anyone viewed the January short subject video- it was discussed on the Super Bowl segment). Steeler fans are EVERYWHERE too, they don't have the Bandwagon folks that hop on when the team is winning, Steeler fans bleed Black & Gold which only adds to the mystique. I never was fond of the City of Pittsburgh but I will always root for The Team, and the fans are great!

Absolutely 100%. There are NO OTHER football fans as dedicated at the Pittsburgh Steelers. Thats just obvious. Can't wait to see black and gold on the airplane.

I agree with you on the fan support for the Steelers, but the Penguins and Pirates, well its a waste of money IF they build a new arena for the Penguins. And a waste of money for PNC. On average those two venues don't fill up even close to 50%. I just hope that they don't do a Dallas plane. I know there are ALOT of Steeler fans here, but I think it would be neat to see a Bengal plane, an Airbus with Tiger stripes.
