Delta just got exit monies for Spring '07 stand alone proposal in the order of 2.5 billion. Good Luck and God Speed folks. I hope it all works out.

Now can we get the people in Tempe to stop thier bad impersionation of Wolf/Greenwall, and start the heal, mend relations, and heaven forbid....run THIS airline!

See you all on the Line 2-6.

hopeful 283er...

How did you get back on the line if you are 283er that soon? Are you referring to the group of pilot furloughees 91-98 when you say 283er?

Sorry,

I'm still riding the guard rail on furlough, hopeful for the next bid. The line I was refering to was the picket line on the 6th in DCA. Tempe needs to run this place instead of allowing the "Barron's" and carpet baggers back in. Clear Skies Ahead.....with catiuos optimism..

283er,

Are you saying this DAL nightmare scenario is over? Goosh I hope so.

I also hope we can get all the furloghees back very soon. Lord knows they have been running the airline very short, at least on the pilot side. These 100+ months are killing me, come back and get some of it!

Sombody posted on the Delta thread board a link to the list of creditors ponying up 2.5 billion for exit finacing.

I hope it's said and done too. Time to move forward, can you imagine what the yearly earnings could have been with the merged synergies realized. Time and money and careers wasted. Time to hold managments feet to the fire. You folks on the front lines have held up the operation of the airline due to you work ethc and professionalism. Now, wouldn't it be AWESOME to get some help from above...... 🙄

And yup! 2 time member of the frequently furloughed club.
17 years as on March, 🙄 4.6 y.i.s.....

Still catiously optimistic.

I would like to see how much of this profit is due to keeping same workgroups at vastly different payscales, i.e. East and West fleet service. Will the airline see any great need to integrate workgroups considering they are making money with the status quo?

There has to been a ton of synergies that even management could not forsee. Take for instance the CRW-DCA flight. This flight was local politician traffic for years. Now there are people going to DCA to connect on the AWA flight to Vegas all of the time. The CRW-CLT flights are still full, so it does not appear that we are canabilizing ourselves.

I've been flying out of CRW for the last 15 years. I wish I had some facts from the early 90s on traffic US had out of there compared to now. CRW is definitely a nicer airport now, just wish we had the traffic a state capitol deserves. No one flies mainline from there anymore either.

All the former CRW-PIT DC-9/737 hub traffic has to go someplace. Oh wait, didn't we used to fly PI DH8 CRW-DCA. Now it's SAAB 340's by Colgan. So I can't believe there's still as many seats a day to DCA before we subcon'ed it to Colgan.

The PI DH8 has been upgraded to PSA CRJ's. Plus there's still an occasional CRJ to PHL.

All I can see is that we've taken the old PIT/BWI hub traffic and moved it around the system, distributing it to CLT, PHL and (to a lesser extent) DCA.
