Parker Philadelphia Interview

If a single aircraft only does PHL-TLV and back day after day, you'd probably be right - not enough ground time for maintenance. However, I assume that they'd rotate the plane over the various 330 routes, so one plane would be enough. For example, fly PHL-TLV-PHL then PHL-LHR-PHL, PHL-CDG-PHL, etc.

Maybe they will use three aircraft for a two day cycle continuing the flights in a loop like TLV-PHL-LAX-PHL-TLV or something similar.

MOW seems unlikely for 2009 unless current economic conditions improve significantly. If they do decide to expand into eastern Europe next year (and remain in Star), I'd think Warsaw would be a better choice than MOW anyway. IMO, replacing medium range 767 routes (e.g., ARN, ZRH) with 332s would seem to be poor utilization of a 5500 nm resource - particularly if fuel returns to more reasonable levels.

Actually, you have to think of it from both sides of the Atlantic. The economy in Soviet Russia right now is booming thanks to the price of crude oil. It has become a nation of extreme haves and have-nots, but there is a growing class of haves and they really, really like to spend money.

Geez, where ya been?!!!!
Welcome back.

I've been working, raising kids, traveling, playing ham radio, and not thinking too much about USAviation. I'm flying more for business recently, and have at least 5 trips lined up in the next 60 days - San Diego, Vegas, Houston, Miami, and Chicago. Unfortunately with my rate, doing connections is not as appealing unless there is a major fare difference. So, while the SAN and LAS trips are on US, IAH, MIA, and ORD are on other carriers.

On the bright side, I will be returning to the ranks of the US preferreds after about 2 or 3 years. I've got lots of rolls of dimes for my $2.00 sodas, and am looking forward to an upgrade or two...
