We have an issue in our station. No one seems to know what the least amount of hours that can be used for a Paid Day Off. We all know that you can use 4 hours, or half a day, but can you use 1,2, or 3 hours too??? Can't seem to find it in the CWA contract, or any company memos. I can remember years ago when we switched to PDOs, the rules were set, but can't remember what those rules were. Thanks for any answers. Also if you know the answer, please let me know where to find it in writing. Thanks.

We dont have PDOs any more. We have vacation time. When you enter a swap in workbrain it asks SWAP or DAT. If it accepts it as a DAT (vacation time), then it should be good. I have used 4 hours at a time, but havent personally tried anything less, but its your vacation time and should be able to use it whenever if its DATs. Try doing it for however much time you need and see if it accepts it. I dont recall seeing anything in writing regarding the minimum amount of vacation time allowed on a DAT. Let us know if it accepts the hour or two you need.
