"And while speculation was rife that just like the CIA-funded al Qaeda had been used as a facade by the US to achieve its own geopolitical and national interests over the past two decades, so ISIS was nothing more than al Qaeda 2.0, there was no actual evidence of just this.

That may all have changed now when a declassified secret US government document obtained by the public interest law firm, Judicial Watch, shows that Western governments deliberately allied with al-Qaeda and other Islamist extremist groups to topple Syrian dictator Bashir al-Assad.

According to investigative reporter Nafeez Ahmed in Medium, the "leaked document reveals that in coordination with the Gulf states and Turkey, the West intentionally sponsored violent Islamist groups to destabilize Assad, despite anticipating that doing so could lead to the emergence of an ‘Islamic State’ in Iraq and Syria (ISIS)."

Now this:

A retired US general has acknowledged that Washington’s allies created the ISIL terrorist group to confront the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah.
Retired general Wesley Clark, who was the Supreme Allied Commander Europe of NATO from 1997 to 2000, made the revelation in a recent interview with the CNN.
“ISIS got started through funding from our friends and allies,” Clark admitted on Tuesday, using another acronym for ISIL.
The only group that will fight Hezbollah is ISIL because they are “zealots” and resemble a “Frankenstein,” he said.

Obama owns the Syrian uprising.....not to hard to prove. Was why Benghazi happened....funneling weapons to Syrian rebels and it backfired.

"The ISIL terrorists, many of whom were initially trained by the CIA in Jordan in 2012 to destabilize the Syrian government, have seized large parts of territory in Syria and around one-third of the territory of Iraq.  ."

That is the common problem with western views of the comings and goings of events in the ME. Viewing with a western eye doesn't work without a good understanding of the ideological agenda.

I was really referring to the left/right ideology in the US, and not gettingsucked into identifying with either side.

The worls historical picture does of course include idelogy and culture, and yes that is why it is important to read some.

Now, how did you get that Syria is all Obama's fault, and from there to Benghazi?

Obviously you read what you are told to. Void of intellectual curiosity.

Yeah, that's it

Everything from Kissinger to Gates to The Heritage Foundation's Guide to the Constitution to McCollough to Napalitano to the bible to Tolstoy, and a little of everything in between.

And Petey thinks I'm a "liberal"...

That's what's funny

No room for thought or nuance, only "thinks just like me" or is a "libtard", etc.

Then claims independent thought.

Petey, you are a clone of your pipers, and your arguments make almost, but not quite as much sense as if someone decided to just disagree with every thing every one named Peter ever said.

You still have offered no citable source for your ridiculous claims, and nothing to any discussion beyond mind-numbingly ignorant memes, LOL, deflection, dismissal, and name-calling.

Nada
