Poison Found in Pet Food
Mar, 23 2007 - 11:40 AM
TORONTO AM 640 TORONTO - U.S. authorities may have found the source of the problem in the Menu Foods pet food recall. They have found evidence of rodent poison in the food after samples were tested earlier this week. A food lab in New York says a chemical used to kill rodents that was in wheat imported from China is the apparent culprit.
Tainted food from the Streetsville-based company has been linked with the deaths of more than a dozen animals in the U.S and Canada and yesterday lawyers in Toronto filed a class action suit on behalf of one woman who's cat has died.
