Well, Philly's Management Team has done it again!
Welcome to Feb.in the Great Northeast!
No sand to bury your head in.
This could be your whole statement, and it would make since if you work in PHL.HE HE !!
If you dont work there you would have to see it to understand let me explain,USAIR does not fuel any deisel equipt at all.
Only the gasoline equipt is fueled by the workers, there is only one gas pump.Remote from the termminals.
Deisel is fueled at night,by ASIG some of them put out a good effort others go home if it gets to cold for there candy #@@.
leaving almost empty epuipt pushbacks, tugs etc unfueled. And nobody is aware of it,till it runs out of fuel.Cause they dont tell USAIR what they didnt fuel, just what they did fuel. And how much fuel they pumped.
A pushback may be returned to an area that has been fueled but it didnt get any,and it wont.....but we have no fueling problem in PHL ask MGNT...
There is no room to put things inside out of the waether, and yes lots of things are left running all night you have to.
But running or not it work stop the brakes (parking brake)
from freezing up on beltloaders making them unusable.
Lots of time out of fuel, dead battery, and frozen brakes. The ramp people need training, they dont need to be blamed for this, maint does all they can to keep stuff up and running.
but this airport is over 2 miles long. And has more equipt then PINNEY does flight time.
And then there is just the plain abuse that happens, and it does.Stupid stuff that no one see's.
Now its hundreds of dollars on colored tape and numbers and new GPS systems on tugs...YES GPS so mgnt can tell were stuff is.Well knowing isnt stoping it from getting were it shouldnt....be.
Welcome To Disney land north......
