US 728 left PHL early and is estimating a early arrival in LHR close to 1hr early

Somehow I think US didn't account for their DST change. The flight would be on-time but their DST starts this weekend.

I know TEMPE does some stupid things but forget time changes, aahh, no. The flight pushed off the gate 6 minutes early and arrived 33 minutes early.
That's not unusual for this time of year.

what aircraft are they using? i would imagine the A330 since it is more busy than LGW?

It was a 330 to LGW and it still is a 330 to LHR.

US Airways services to London.

PHL-LGW on a 757-200 ETOPS with 12 Envoy. (I wonder if this might go up to a 767 for the Summer?)
PHL-LHR on an A330-300
CLT-LGW on an A330-300

Regardless, PHL-LHR is going to gain momentum in a few weeks/months. Right now it was J7 tonight, 7 upgradeable seats day off seems like a lot. Forgot how many total empty Envoy. Give it a few weeks. OTOH PHL-LGW all full, but that's partially due to the smaller aircraft.

It will continue to be flown by a 757 throughout the summer, except on Fridays when it will be a 767 (the day PHL-ARN does not operate).

So many positives for this flight. Not only was it early, but there was a supervisory request for new duct tape to replace the duct tape that was slightly frayed holding down the metal strips on the floor. The tape was a fix for the outsourced maintenance mistake of using the wrong bolts for the metal strips!

I wish all the planes could receive new duct tape!! Note: Not a burn on US maintenance employees. Just some good old fashioned US Airways humor that happens to be a true story.

Oh, and sorry no pictures as there were too many people in suites.

speaking of duct tape, did the texas toast debut on this flight, too?

Hi All,
I was on UA 949 today to return home from my vacation to England, and it was at T1. I did get a few Photos, which if wanted I can post later, I don't have them ready right now.

Surprising? Envoy sucks. Why would you fly US when you can fly BA for the same price (or cheaper) and get outstanding service.
