Why did they use a 757 yesterday and today?
I checked in at a US Airways desk...boarded at a US Airways gate...the crew wore US Airways uniforms...
but, it is entirely possible that this was a United flight...they do have some kind of sharing system, don't they?
We definitely landed in Heathrow. I have never been to Gatwick.
So, this is really a matter of semantics.

Didn't US Airways have a partnership/marketing agreement/wet lease agreement with BA at one time?
Yes, and as I recall those flights were operated to/from London Gatwick from the US Airways hubs.

TWA did, but I thought that the DOJ wouldn't let AA take it over with the STL and BWI runs when AA purchased TWA's Heathrow rights in 1991 IIRC. AA did get BOS, JFK and LAX. They had brought the Chicago rights in Dec of 1989 from TWA already.TWA and AA flew PHL-LHR as well
AA flew PHL-LHR for a full year and then transfered the authority to DFW - which was their plan all along after gaining approval to acquire TWA.TWA did, but I thought that the DOJ wouldn't let AA take it over with the STL and BWI runs when AA purchased TWA's Heathrow rights in 1991 IIRC. Working LHR tomorrow and we only have about 90 on Y class. Full coming back.
