Anyone know why 710 diverted to BOS last night (A/C 252) and replaced by A/C 256 before continuing to ZRH?

Diversions happen all the time at all airlines. I don't believe that it is a big deal. We know US Airways currently has some issues with keeping up a good safety record image, but other airlines have diversions for a multitude of reasons as well.

According to this report it was an unusual electrical smell in the aft of a B767, caused crew members (FA's) to feel sick:

"We are of course supportive of our crew members if they feel they need medical attention. To the best of our knowledge no customers or pilots have complained." Weird

Seems to be a pretty common fact. Maybe the pax don't know they're supposed to go along with the game.

I'm not so sure it's a game and shouldn't be dismissed arbitrarily. I've been on some US metal and caught a whiff of something foul in the air with a faint electrical or petrochemical smell to it. Never got ill though.

Smelling disorders of odors

What causes smell disorders?

Smell disorders have many causes, with some more obvious than others. Most people who develop a smell disorder have experienced a recent illness or injury. Common causes of smell disorders are:

Sinus and other upper respiratory infections
Polyps in the nasal cavities
Frontal head injuries
Hormonal disturbances
Dental problems
Exposure to certain chemicals, such as insecticides and solvents
Numerous medications, including some common antibiotics and antihistamines
Radiation associated with the treatment of head and neck cancers
Aging
Other health issues that affect the nervous system, such as Parkinson’s disease or Alzheimer’s disease

You know what else causes smell disorders? This:

Maybe you should keep your cheap shots to yourself. I have flown with that Capt many times and I guarentee you that he is the last one on the list that would do anything false.

Who said anything about the Capt? Remember, there's an injunction out that focuses on the east.

You don't find it amazing that no pax ever follow the crews to the ER?

Thanks for taking me off your ignore list. Can we be BFFs?

Just a hunch, but you don't want to dogfight me do you?

Passengers don't leave the scene thinking that they need to see a doctor......they do not fly these old airplanes consistantly and have friends that are disabled due to this kind of incident, like the crew does. Also, if the crew doesn't make a medical record of the incident in a timely manner, the company will screw them in a heart beat.

I don't engage you on this forum because you are like an adolescent and will say anything just to piss people off and draw attention to yourself.......you lack character. I have no time for your BS.
