I was passing thru Charlotte earlier today and overheard several customer service agents making comments about Piedmonts F/As calling in sick to protest their current state with the company, whatever that may be.They went on to say that Piedmont suffered many xld. flights on am flights . Any one shed any light on this? Iam traveling saturday and may want to make other plans to fly on USair mainline, thanks.

Right now we are short staffed on FA's. Many sick calls, a few flight attendants have been injured, and a lot are just fed up. In January we are closing the JAX domicile and opening CLT. Many of the girls are not willing to commute, especially with the reduced JAX-CLT flights. A lot of our FA's are getting scheduled to their 14 hour duty limits on a daily basis and are being drafted on their days off. I'm sure it will all end by the end of the month.
