Finman, You are right on the money. Also, NWA will end up sending out more PNR's than expected. UAL and DAL had some very high pilot recall bypass rates 60-70%. I was told at one point it was 100 PNR's for 25 accepted for UAL or DAL, forgot which one. Most pilots have either found higher paying jobs or can not afford the pay cut. Others have a 'wait and see' attitude, we are going to have some major industry changes soon.

Delta asks court for permission to end pilot pension
Delta Air Lines has asked a bankruptcy court for permission to terminate its pilots' pension plan. The federal government's Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp. would take over the plan and pay pilots reduced benefits if the judge approves the motion.
With decisions like this one by the legacies, is it any wonder that pilots are keeping jobs at other airlines instead of answering their recall notices? Sorry Delta pilots..you're going to be another example of corporate greed. You can bet that Dougie Steenland is right in line behind them, or maybe behind closed doors with Judge Grooper..HHmmmmm <_<
