Pilots Have a T/A

Don't worry boys & girls, you seem to forget Cohen is running the show. They will be back!!!!!

wonderboy, how dare you. You do not know us at all. We did go on strike before and we voted 92% to do it again. I voted yes. I voted that way for everyone in aviation. You too I am sure. Not use to a difficult life? You do not know that for sure either. I was fatherless and pennyless and lived in the government projects for years and then moved up to a dump of a house trailer. I went many nights without eating and was laughed at by my school mates for wearing clothes with holes in them. Struggle, my friend you are talking to one that has struggled all my life. You should re-think your slanderous words. Character? It is obvious that you do not hold this quality due to your rude and hurtful words! No substance? Surely you jest? I will say that the NWA mechanic are some of the best in the industry and I never met one of them that was less than great! I appreciated their work! I appreciated them. As for your words of substance. You once again show how lacking in the Character department you are. Please do not make comments that show your stupidity! Just so you will know. I got to where I am on my own. I did struggle and I did survive. I did eat beans and went without. I did make it to where I am along with many others because of what we are made of. I was handed nothing! I would and still may go on strike for the entire aviation industry. We at NWA are all sick of this and that is why we voted to go on strike. Most of the guys I know are selling their homes.....if they own them and are indeed hurting. (Furloughed Guys) I will end with this......Wonderboy, I wish you peace, joy and happiness. I hope you find these things so that you can stop slandering your brothers in this industry.
You have got to be joking. There's more substance in my little finger than your whole entire post. You need to get real. Obviously the truth hurts. Don't waste anymore of my time with your irrevelent rantings, please.

Oh yes, BTW, I DARE!

Once again you show your stupidity and lack of character! Go figure. I hope you are not in aviation because our industry does not need people like you. "Irrevelent"?????
If you are trying to say "irrelevant" I spoke very clear to your slanderous accusations. If you cannot understand or think it is irrelevant, try reading it again. You cannot be an NWA mechanic because they all have more class in there little finger than you show in your writing.
Hahaha...you make me laugh. You sound like you are a 13 year old.
Again, I hope for you peace, joy and happiness. No doubt you need it.

No it wouldn't have, they have just gone to some other airline or industry to continue to rape the employees
thats true. but of course it would probably have to take a second frank lorenzo or carl ichan before congress would step in and strip them of the right to mnge an airline

I hope that the pilots are happy or at least relieved. No one has the right to decide what is best for someone else. I hope they dont regret their decision but no one can see the future. I would've liked to have see the mechanics issues settled differently but it didnt happen. Maybe NW managment will take the money that they didnt get from the pilots from the "new" mechanics. There is no contract for them. Best wishes to all at NW. Maybe managment will learn how to run this airline and not repeat their past mistakes. It would be nice to see airlines competing only at OTP and lowering DOT complaints and not for the lowest wages in the industry.

I guess you don't read much about geology. I guess you never read much about islands sinking or Corporations heading back into bankruptcy court two or three times. I guess you never heard of any companies going back on their word. Assuming doesn't get you anywhere in a court of law, just the facts.
Seems to be a popular refrain. Just for the record, I'm very familiar with the UAL and US Airways bankruptcies. NWA has the benefit of going through this process after oil prices rose and with the ability to observe and avoid mistakes made by the previous BK companies. Anything is possible, but these factors give me reason to be confident that NWA will emerge on the first try.

I can't believe they just reached a "tentative" agreement.

PTO, it's called a tentative agreement because only the company's and the union's negotiators have agreed to it. The company management has to sign off on it--which they probably will do. And, under Federal law, the entire union membership has to be given a chance to vote up or down on the agreement--which they may or may not do. NWA pilots have shown their mettle in the past.

But, even if the membership votes down the agreement that does not automatically mean a strike and the death of NWA. What it means is the union negotiating team will try to determine what about the agreement was so objectionable to the membership and negotiate a new tentative agreement with the company. The company may choose to return to the negotiating table or not.

If not, then they will probably go to the BK court for a final abrogation of the existing contract. If they get it, then the pilots will have to decide if they are willing to risk ending a great airline for the sake of union principle. Who knows? I don't, and I doubt anyone else here does either. They only know what they personally would do in a given situation.

The AMFA mechs don't have the brains the pilots have.

Committing suicide is stupid.
Obviously, the AMFA mechs have more brains. They are NOT the ones who are stupid enough to put themselves behind the controls of any aircraft a scab has worked on. Suicide? I think you better leave that phrase for the pilots.

Obviously, the AMFA mechs have more brains.

The AMFA mechs were led like sleep to slaughter by their union leadership. The union leaders should have been more explicit in disclosing, pre-strike threat, the fact that a strike would result in the irrelevance of AMFA to the future existence of Northwest Airlines, and then allow an informed membership to determine their collective fate.

To the credit of the IAM, PFAA, and ALPA-represented employees, their union heads were direct and forthcoming in articulating the consequences of a strike, and moved heaven and earth to prevent one.

I love to see the jealousy start pouring out of those that really have nothing more than mere hatred and a dim version of things. The AMFA mechs really got to a lot people there at NWA, especially the IAM. Your boring, ignorant mantra is nothing more than management propaganda at its worst. The truly untalented and obscure have a lot to envy!

More similar to----the blind leading the blind. Not much wisdom in that, is there?
