Heard from a pilot passing through this morning, that the pilot group was invited for a sit down with the CEO at Crystal City today. Can anyone shed any light on this reported meeting and if so the subject matter?

Tons of pilots in CLT today for some sort of transformation plan meeting. Did not hear any details.

Rallying the troops for merger/POR announcement
tomorrow morning. Been told the official news
will be released around 10ish.

Oh. Forgot to tell you, I was informed of this
when a senior executive was riding on my
lawn chair this morning.

Company: "While we have nearly completed the Transformation Plan, more work needs to be done. We are calling on employees, beginning with our outstanding pilot group, to make additional concessions to complete the T.P."

ALPA: "Uhhhhh, can we still wear a hat, and make everybody call us Captain?"

Company: "Whoa, you guys drive a hard bargain! 😉 "

I wonder why they left the IAM out?

This might be what was happening (from the ALPA code-a-phone):

Item 2. The Labor Advisory Council (LAC) met today in Crystal City to hear a report from senior management on various issues including first quarter results, non labor cost saving initiatives and employee performance incentive programs. We hope to be able to provide you with more details of the meeting with specific slides that will soon be posted on the pilots only website. The Company also initiated a discussion about various strategic alternatives, in light of the public confirmation that US Airways and America West are in discussions about a possible transaction. Executives of the Company did not disclose specifics on any alternative or on discussions with potential investors, but they gave the LAC background on their analysis and made it clear that the preference was on pursuing alternatives that preserved the jobs of US Airways employees.

Followed shortly by the announcement of more parking of USAirways' mainline fleet

Thank you sir, May I have another?

US Airways senior management held two employee meetings today.

US Airways vice president of flight operations Ed Bular called a special versus "all" Check Airman meeting today in Charlotte and the Labor Advisory Council met with senior management in Arlington.
