Pilots' Analysis Shows American Airlines Could Be Forced Into Bankruptcy by May
DALLAS (AP) -- AMR Corp., parent company of American and American Eagle airlines, could be forced into bankruptcy as soon as May, its pilots' union warned.
An analysis of AMR's finances by the Allied Pilots Association found the Fort Worth-based company has just three months' worth of cash reserves.

Now apparently the APA and company are distancing themselves from the statements made by DFW APA base chair Philpot. Obviously his statements have had an impact

It is obviously in the Pilot's best interest to propagate fear amongst all other employee groups to insure they minimize their personal impact from needed concessions.

What the hell is going on behind those closed doors anyway? Is it a big company/union bed wetting?

This is one of the reasons the company never gives us information. You get some know it all pilot who doesn't know how to handle the info that he's been given. The company may be in dire shape but we don't need some unoffical mathematics done by someone from the pilots union. When APA has its analyst check the books why do we need some pilot making his assumptions?

Well, obviously is must me that time of year again. the same old argument and the pilots are the the cause of all woes. Has anyone even thought (Another article stated that the message was on the "secure" side(obiously not secure enough), about how this nucklehead "REPORTER" got the information in the first place?

The Pilots have done absolutly nothing to even insinuate anything bad about the other groups durring this time of restructuring/cramming!
It is time for us to come together regardless of emotions.

O.K.

Let's just make an attempt at one comparison.

How much per year does the Pilot pension equal?

How much per year does the Mechanic pension equal?

Do the comparison using both "lump sum" option and monthly payment option.
