PIT vs CLE - sorry another PIT topic

And hasn't THAT airport been deteriorating since merger. also NOWHERE near the NE to connect through.

The way I see it is this management team hasn't been able to reverse any of the damages left by the old team with Allegheny County.

SpinDoc replies:
Correct. Previous management boned Allegheny County hard in bankruptcy, but there was a lot more to the story than was told. Early on in the BK process, Jerry gl ASS and Neil Cohen devised a plan to get US out of their share of the long term bonds that funded the construction of the midfield terminal. As a bonus, they also identified significant cost savings by dumping the most senior employees in the workforce which included PIT Res, Boeing 737/57/67 MTC, and Pilot Training and simulators. By targeting PIT, they got rid of a ton of liabilities, but they also left a trail of wreckage that can't be easily fixed, so they are not going to try to fix it.

US MUST find a reliever for PHL in order to FIX the operation. PHL regardless of how you rework it and try to fix it without maybe a miracle from above will require funneling traffic to a degree somewhere else (PIT).

SpinDoc replies:
There are not a lot of employees or industry experts who will disagree with you on this, but America Worst management is way too naive and moronic to ever understand that PHL needs a relief valve. PIt would definitely work as a pure connecting hub, but stupidity rules the day.

Houston Chronicle Article

From the article above -
"Continental Airlines is expanding its Cleveland hub by 40 percent over the next two years, with many jets shifting from its congested Newark hub.

The carrier said it will initially add 50 flights, principally on regional jets, and add 20 nonstop destinations by next summer.

Most of the regional jets will come from Continental's Newark hub, and larger aircraft will be used at the New York City-area airport, the carrier said. Newark Liberty International is one of the most congested airports in the country."

My comments-
This is exactly what US needs to do in PHL. Reduce RJ flying and consolidate flights on larger equipment and try to reduce delays.

PLEASE WN HAS NOT CAPTURED THE PHL PIT TRAFFIC.. US now operates e70 and e90 crj and 737 when applicable.. according to traffic demand .. the maintanence and inflight crews ... LUV ... the pit phl WN flights.. big time non rev flights for deadheading ... ALWAYS A SEAT>>>>. thanks WN for the service charge passes and now the newly updated ZED fares.. we US LUV it because our flight are FULL.... you operate only 737 ... you need to downsize your equipment to comply to market demand... .. WN is cutting back PHL service to various cities in the norhteast.. that inculds.. MHT PVD.. .. the FAA has already made public either the airlines in the NE start cutting back voluntarily or they will tell you too.. US big time backs the plan... Air tran is already discountinuing PHLBOS... what took you soooooooo llooooooong.. say what you want to say US is a power house in certain areas like DL is in ATL.. or US at CTL.. just try us.. like PARKER SAID.. HE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT WN AND NO ONE RUNS FROM WN ANYMORE

Or MAYBE, WN doesn't come to CO strongholds because CO can beat them at CO's game. Mayber CO has figured out you can't beat WN at their game. So instead CO just beats them by being who they are and defining themselves in the marketplace.

Just a thought. B)

I agree 100% the people running CO know how to run an airline Parker and Kirby should be taking notes.
