Looks like the fun has begun. If you fly a 57, get your a** to PHL and get that bird down here! 😛 😉

I used to fly a 757... but they are leaving the PIT crewbase this spring.

Soooo someone correct me if I'm wrong, here.

If you're short on pilots and flight attendants during a month which has only 28 days, how much worse will things be next month with there being 31 days -- or over 10% more flying to be done? Or are the bids and schedules not done on a calendar month basis?

Our bid periods average 30 days. For instance, Feb is Jan 31-Mar 1.

The f/a's are short, because the brilliant minds at this company have decided to send all the PHL f/a's to training that haven't been in the ITD in the past 2 years. (that is trans atlantic division) They don't think we can serve Envoy class without serious instruction on how to be a f/a. Believe me, the service isn't even as nice as our trans con flights used to be.

And since the ITD fence is coming down in May, all the ITD f/a's that aren't trained on the baby buses need to be trained, all of this takes place for PHL/PHW in Feb. Next month CLT/CLW will go through the same thing. Are you listening CCY? Next month you are going to be short in CLT/CLW!

Each week, hundreds of reserves are out of service for training, and block holders too. If they had just called me, I would 've told them they were going to be short, but they can't even figure out that Christmas is in December!
