I’m an Airline Baggage Handler and I’ll close out this year with about $90,000 Gross, another $8,000 in 401K Company Contributions/match and maybe $80,000 in Market gains for a grand total of around $178,000. And getting a raise January 1st.

My Union Contract exposing my pay and benefits is online so I’m not divulging a secret 🤫 here.

My Gas ⛽️ prices are down

HOA stayed the same as last year
Mortgage/ Same
Property Taxes rose/ $2.00 for the entire year.

Electric Bill seems static
Phone Bill/ Same
Internet/ Same
Streaming service/ Same
Car Insurance/ Same
Medical Insurance (Company sponsored) rose $7.00 per Month
Car wash/ Still $10,00 for basic

Republicans don't want to extend the ACA subsidies. What do you say we look at red states around early February to see how they feel about insurance.

I don’t care about ACA subsidies mostly because as you forget they were supposed to expire. The only thing that will bring down medical costs and insurance is exactly what the Trump Administration is doing. Getting out the millions and millions of people who look for medical care (Hospital ER’s) and don’t pay anything for that care. You and I as American 🇺🇸 Citizens get stuck with the tab in case you don’t realize that.

BTW both the Democrats and Republicans voted no for competing Bills meant to help alleviate the problem you mentioned. Neither one of them wanted to budge for the other. Both are to blame. Political gamesmanship is always the thought of the day.

And they are and they will and Red states have the largest enrollments in the ACA. So in January, when they expire, I'm gonna pour a cup of coffee and watch the MAGAots squeal when their premiums go up. They will say that they voted for Republicans because they didn't want that socialist Obamacare....that's why they got their insurance thru the ACA marketplace.
