I don't know if this has been asked and answered or not but does the west flight crews have Cat Crew?

I believe they have a system called Maestro? Someone correct me if I am wrong. I was told it makes Catcrew look like the latest technology.

Maestro is what we have and it is total crapola..... but i heard it's going away as soon as they decide on the new system.

The holdup is they require a system that can communicate with PBS. Personally I have no problems with mastro, maybe because I only use it to check in and check my show time.

Sounds like another HP POS (IE quik/shares and Sceptre) computer system. I bet they choose the crappy one because it is cheaper and they think that they can "enhance" it to suit our needs.

Its a Boeing crap product.

Just imagine how bad it would be if it was "An Airbus Crap Product"

We're sorry, but Maestro has exceeded it's daily number of MEL's and is now being removed from service. Please check back tomorrow!

Please excuse my ignorance but what is PBS?

I'd like to know why, in 2007, we still use 1980's proprietary technology. All the info we need should be free, obviously password and i.d. protected, and on the www.

It could be done through The Hub but I suspect the Hub couldn't handle the traffic. And with these nimrods it would crash every 5 mins.

Now wouldn't you guess that Maestro would be like a modified version of "Etch-a-sketch". Have these clowns ALWAYS been the cheapest B'tards in the business? Jeezzzzzzzzzzzzz!

I think our counterparts on the west should be given a tutorial on the capabilities and the wealth of information available on Catcrew.

Has anyone seen Southwest's system? I was sick watching my friend rearrange his entire schedule in less than 5 min! It was user friendly and I was amazed at the amount on info. CATS SUCKS. It's a DOS based POS. I don't even think DOS talks to Windows does it? That's why our ETB is not automatic. 1982 copy write crap. EDS maintains CATS or at least writes our modifications to the program. I know a guy there that is like, "you want us to do what with this"!? It's like trying to make old PacMan into a game on todays Playstation.
But it would be a step up from what AW has.
