Senior
I don't know if the West End has the same seniority issuses that we have. In fact...I don't think they bid by senority at all. I think it's all first come..first serve.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Which by the way.....why is that?
Will someone please explain to me why bidding isn't done in senority order???
Flyby,
We do bid our lines by seniority.
When we bid our lines for the month the lines are awarded in seniority order, same thing with annual vacation bid and subsequent vacation shuffle bids. Bids for charter trips are also processed in seniority order.
The ONLY thing that is not done by seniority is our drop/pick up. That is done first come first serve. For example if I log on to Maesto right now and there is a Hawaii trip in open time for saturday and I want to pick it up or if I already have a trip and want to swap it out I can regardless of my seniority. I just have to be legal and the staffing parameters have to allow the dpu to go through. It's basically jungle rules with drop/pick up. If you see it first and can grab it, then it's yours.
