Yes they are the same fat cats who are going to have their taxes raised. I believe Mr Buffet qualifies as a fat cat and he welcomed a tax increase did he not?
Fine, you think I'm think .. BFD! I do not believe the economy is sound as McCain suggested. The basics are there but right now they are not working. You can have all the parts for a jet engine sitting at your feet but if they are not put together just right the engine will not be fundamentally sound. Yes we have labor, yes we have creative minds, not sure about the services or who needs them and yet our capacity exists.
The problem is how we have been doing business. The auto makers are producing garbage because it has been cheap to do so and because the government has been lacks in enforcing realist CAFE requirements and because Americans have been slow to realize that gas does not grow on trees. We want big house and big cars and no one in government is willing to stand up and say this life style does not work any more. The fundamentals of the economy are no where near sound in my opinion. What McCain said was not what Obama said. McCain said what he said to try and be optimistic, to give people a false sense of hope. He said there was no problem. Obama said there is a problem but we have the tools and the ability to fix it. In my opinion there is a difference.
We remain the most prosperous, powerful nation on Earth. Our workers are no less productive than when this crisis began. Our minds are no less inventive, our goods and services no less needed than they were last week or last month or last year. Our capacity remains undiminished.â€
