they are claiming 96% funding in the pilots plan since the age law changed. coupled with the average age pilot at 49 does not bode well for longevity. when the pilot masses figure it out there could be a run on the "bank."

The funds are separate if I recall. A run on the bank will only hurt the pilot fund.

Apparently the early pilot retirements in February cost each non-retiring pilot a hit to their B-plan balance of about $2,200 due to the ability to lock-in the earlier values:

You are mistaken...
We do have a Roth option, but there is no matching.
