Funny thing is that all those countries he named have socialistic policies....like health care. In his speech, the things we lead the world in are all policies of conservatives...."lock 'em up" (unless we kill them)....that's called "getting tough on crime". The number of adults who believe in angels....which party chases the "religious values" segment. And defense spending. How many conservatives are against cutting defense spending. Listen further and he's not talking about Obama.
Now...if he's talking to college students and tells them that they are in the worst generation ever...one has to look at who was leading the nation at that time. My kid's a senior in college. She was born in 1993. In her "worst generation" lifetime, George W Bush was leading the country for most of that time. And unless you want to say that 1993 thru 2001 sucked economically....then "liberals" weren't the ones who made it suck.
From 2001 until 2009, if you said that America wasn't the greatest country in the world, you would have been called an American hating terrorist supporter.
I'm glad you posted this because you bought the line "because they lose". You quit listening after that. YOu missed his comments that we passed or struck down laws based on moral reasons. You missed the part where we had a war on poverty, not a war on poor people. Can you remember which side did (and still does) point to 'the 47% who pay nothing in taxes"? You missed the part where he said "we sacrificed" (I urge all Americans to go shopping). You missed the part where he said we build great big things (Like the Hoover Dam, TVA, and an interstate highway system). You missed the part where he said "we made ungodly technological advances, explored the universe:. That sounds like NASA. You missed the part about "we aspired to intelligence, we didn't belittle it". Gosh, I've heard about the "harvard liberals", the "ivy league liberals". We have a war on teachers. You missed the part about "we didn't scare so easy". Now...who won an election in 2004 that was based on fear? The terrorists would get us if we didn't stay strong.
You heard him say "liberals lose" and you had him with a passing bash at the NEA. But after that, you posted a video that pretty much shows how conservatives have led the race to the bottom for this country. You missed 95% of the rest of the video.
