Return of United''s ORD-HNL Nonstop Service?

With the announcement last week that Delta is going to resume its daily ATL-HNL nonstop service on August 1 using 767s, the lack of an ORD-HNL nonstop flight illustrates a glaring hole in United''s current route system. It seems to me that this is a real competitive disadvantage for United given American''s current daily nonstop ORD-HNL and ORD-OGG flights, both of which are also flown with 767s.

IIRC, United''s previous ORD-HNL nonstop flights ended when their DC-10s were retired a few years ago, and those flights were not replaced with 767 or 777 nonstop flights supposedly due to third cockpit crew member and/or cockpit crew rest area issues associated with the pre-bankruptcy United-ALPA contract. But since the circumstances have changed for United (bankruptcy, new union contracts, new nonstop flights by other carriers, new focus on leisure markets, etc.), might the carrier now reconsider its decision and thus restart its own nonstop ORD-HNL flights?
