Thanks for the info. I may just do that. That is the same issue we have here. Education! It never ceases to amaze me how resistant people are to change, even when it gets them out of the long lines at the cashier booths and home much faster using the Exit Express system.
They still fuss about the lines, but won't even think about using the machines (24) located in the parking garage. One thing we have tried is putting a person in front of the machines trying to grab everyone they can to use the machines.
The ones who are the "regulars" love it. They hate lines as much as we do. It's the weekenders and the once a year flyers that don't take the time to try something new that will get the home much faster.
The biggest excuse we hear is "I don't want to use my credit card for a dollar!" I try and counter that with "Use your ATM card instead, it's the same as your cash and it works at the Exit Express Lanes!" We have exit lanes as I assume you do that will take credit/ATM cards if they did not use the machines in the garage.
I also work the lines with a sign "Credit/ATM Cards?". That gets a few peoples attention so I can pull them over to the automated exit machines. The biggest problem we have the is ones with $1.00 or $2.00 fees who insist on using cash at the cashier lanes, despite the fact that they can use cash at the machines in the Garage OR their ATM cards at the Exit Express Lanes.
Maybe you can get a parking person from SEA to post here and we can trade ideas? I'll take all the ideas I can get.
