So Long US Aviation

It is getting tougher to even visit here and the US Airs domination of this entire web site should be troubling to US Aviation as a business. They have let just a few drive almost the entire content and discussion. It needs better moderation or it will become insignificant.

HERE...HERE...I have been saying this for Way Too long!! 😱

I have discovered that my posts and responses have painted a far different picture of the man I know I am, and in order to reconcile that, I have decided after 5 years to indefinitely suspend my participation in US Aviation.

The solution to your problem is simple; participate as the man that you know you are.

Blaming others for what you have chosen to post (or paint) is an unacceptable defense. Nor is it necessary to respond to posts that you deem are inappropriate, that is a choice as well.

You have complete control over your posts and therefore, you and you alone are responsible for the picture you paint.

I know that some things never change but yet I saw that some employees were willing to jump in and help a poster who had some cc charges that were unknown. Although corporate returned the fon call and it was all sorted out the attempt was made on this board to help. All things have the positive and the negative and this board is no exempt. Look at the non rev info "stickied" at the top of this page and thats also a positive. And where else can you go in the wee hours of the night with the crzy hours we work? Dont leave the board just filter out the negative. There are a lot of good hardworking people that are dedicated to their jobs that post here and alot of valued customers too! Take a break but come back too! Mama

Wow, u guys STILL take this way too serious. Maybe u should shut off the computer and mow the yard or better yet clean out the garage so u can park your car in it.

I've come to the conclusion that there is nothing more that I can say that will change the minds of those involved in the US east/west integration. There may be a solution out there, but it won't be found in the back-biting exchanges that go on here in lieu of reasonable discussion and respect for different opinions. What is grown here is a deepening animosity towards entire groups of people that only serves to further divide a bitterly and unecessarily divided workforce, and I refuse to be part of that anymore. I have discovered that my posts and responses have painted a far different picture of the man I know I am, and in order to reconcile that, I have decided after 5 years to indefinitely suspend my participation in US Aviation.

You might take note of the fact that you end your posts with a slogan which does not comport with what you say above - as do many of your fellows who are on the west side of this issue.

I am all for listening to your side of an argument reasonably and respectfully articulated. But I put up my defences when you start or end with the "integrity matters, usapa=scab, etc" nonsense.

And of course your group's sometimes outrageous behavior doesn't help to foster reasonable discussion either.

But I and others will be right here when you decide to set aside the emotion and attempt to bridge the gulf that divides us.

My take on these boards is that some USAir pilots posting here are so mentally unstable that they should not be given 1st class medical certificates. I refuse to fly USAir for that very reason.

Great to be back on US Aviation. I feel myself becoming smarter already.

Thanks so much for your "take" on this matter, Mr. Chamberlain. And may I ask which L1011 operator you are retired from? Could it be Eastern, whose roster featured Captain Richard Crafts of wife-in-the-woodchipper fame? Or perhaps TWA, training ground of Barry Seal, distinguished Chief Pilot of the Medellin drug cartel? Did you boycott those fine airlines? (I didn't) Do you seriously think we care what you think or whether you fly us?

Best to stay home, do your crosswords, eat your oatmeal.

(Deleted by Moderator. Accusing US Airways of assistance in the 9/11 tragedy is NOT acceptable without proof. Telling someone to go to the FBI is not proof. The FBI probably questioned instructors at every airline to determine if there were additional potential threats.)

(Deleted by Moderator)?

You give new meaning to the word "obtuse." The point was not that only TWA and Eastern had skeletons, but that every airline has them. These unfortunate examples make a mockery of his pretentious boycott announcement concerning US Airways.

The word is hijacker, and I wasn't aware of any US Airways connection. How about some documentation to back up your statement.

Check out this link. No where does it mention any training in CLT.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/683026/posts

Maybe you would like to post a link that says those scumbags trained in CLT. If not, why don't you take your attempted smear elsewhere. Yea, I know about glass houses, your animosity towards US pilots has been clearly evident every chance you get.

He made it up.

I'm sure a LOT of training departments got interviewed. Airline and non airline.

After reading the USAPA/AWAPPA lawsuit documentation, I, myself wonder about the MATURITY of some of the defendants.

Sounds like you need a break.............

He made it up.

Yes, he did. Nothing new there.

One detail he forgot to make up is what aircraft they supposedly trained on in CLT. Perhaps the 737, or maybe the Dash 8? It couldn't have been the 757/767, since all such training at the time was in PIT!
