This is the BIG question. At our station, Usairways is mainline, and American is eagle. Do we become eagle, or because we are larger, are we mainline after the merger??? I'm sure many stations are asking the same question. The number 2 big question is, Do we go with Sabre or QIK?????? Any ideas???

Who knows, as it will all depend on which airline's policy we follow and/or which union contract we end up following. Are you fleet or CS? If your station is on the small side, if so I would start packing...
Sabre on your 2nd question.

CS here. No packing here bud. I'm 59 1/2 in May, so 401 kicks in, and hopefully PGBC. Obama care will take care of everything else. LOL.

The Company may operate up to two (2) daily mainline jet departures in Express stations.
The Company may add mainline flying into Express stations on a seasonal basis not to exceed a single four (4) month period of continuous flying in a calendar year.

Of course only if the passenger service agents kept this contract with the company

Oh, in that case you are good for a little while. If you were in fleet it would be a different story. Given your age you are in a good position to leave if they express your city. Either way it will probably be close to 2 more years before any of the Eagle stuff trickels down.

AA has eagle in my city and it is the worst customer service I've ever seen? Hope Parker is smarter than that ... he has been recently.

As an AA retiree(not so long ago)..from the big bad NE, allow me to make a few points here with your indulgence.
First,...AA/AMR or whatever it will eventually be called, ...DOESN'T GIVE A SH!T ABOUT WHO YOU ARE.(Pilot/ramper/express/agent what have you) They are the Most Arrogant, Conceited, NASTY of the BIG BOYS who NEVER worried about DL or UA or NW or CO. AND THAT is Exactly how we AAers LIKED IT. It was how we were raised/taught by the Greatest airline CEO in Aviation History !! (We'll get Back to him in a moment)

Now that I've insulted all you good folks at US,...here's the GOOD NEWS.
You guys are going to join/bring a LOT to the table of BIG BOYS, that YOU will become a FULL Fledged Member of!

The combo of the routes/planes/Alliences(Think BA/IB/LAN/Qantas/JAL are 'frightening to your competition.
Parker knows this, and IF(with guidence) Parker uses these massive 'tools and puts together a KILLER machine, then all will be well.
In my opinion, Parker is only worring about one guy, who right now isn't even in the business. That 'guy' told APA(AA Pilots) to DO the deal, if it's handled Wisely ! That tells me, that that 'guy' KNOWS what a KILLER machine can be put together with the combined assets that will be available !

NOW,......'THAT GUY'.
Parker KNOWS if he Phucks this thing up, he's HISTORY,..and I fully believe that..that 'Guy' will come FLYING out of retirement to take over.
That Guy is..Robert (uncle Bobby) CRANDALL. Parker worked for him, I believe, and if he didn't he sure as HELLL knows what he's capeable of.
So, Good Luck to you all,...especially Parker !

The passenger service agents are mainline per the contract

How many mainline flights are in RSW for AA

Sorry, Crandall and Bethune are both out of the business for good. For the record I have been at this long enough to realize it doesn't matter what airline I work for as long as the guy that signs my check treats me right. From a customer service agents point of view, Parker has been nothing but good to us. After we came out of bankruptcy and stabled the ship, he gave us a dollar an hour back when he didn't have to. He also returned some vacation time. The pilot seniority integration got screwed up, but he had nothing to do with that and frankly I don't know how anyone could have fixed it other than the pilots. I hope Parker continues to run the new company like the present one.

Now that there's been some consolation I hope the entire industry become stable. There is no reason it can't once again, provide a solid middle class job, above and below the wing. It's what the nations economy needs more that anything else right now, more middle-class jobs. Instead of providing food stamps and child credits to stimulate the economy, give a man or woman a good job and a future.

Airline tickets have gone down 200% since 1978 based on the cost of living index. Everything else has gone up 400%. There is some room to move here. and it's in everyone's best interest, in the big picture even the passengers.

'usa,......Don't get me wrong brother, I'm ROOTING for Parker, and I think he has what it takes (NOW) to (in a couple of years) Scare the 'living sh!t' out of DL and UA.
The question that remains is WILL he,....and like everything in life...it's ' Time will tell'.
I'll tell you a lil' story. My hometown airport is MHT. EVERY G D airline has, or is in MHT, E X C E P T...AA or even A/E. So you can Imagine the utter delight I'm feeling about our AA/US merger.

Peace Brother(or) Sister !! : )

Oh my sides, never have laughed so hard 😀

I think even some cities that AA has outsourced have US Mainline employees like PBI for example, AA runs big jets there but it's all outsource but US is mainline up and down so one would think that would prevail and a transfer list will open. I think there are a few other stations too if it's not mainline up and down it is on the CS side so AA mainline employees might get to get back to cities they got laid off from. IND, CMH, BUF, RSW, PNS, ELP, COS. If you look at the list US has over 80 mainline station managers AA only has about 45 or so.
