Better to fly the worst, then no airline at all! I have been used to the foolishness all these years, thank you, yours is just another drop in the bucket.
It seems you still have respect for the employees, I will give you that! 😀We use to do the same on the 747 to Hawaii and Lagoya back in the early 90's. Who cares about awards, it is all in the presentation, quaility, and fa's serving the product. I am sure US was top of the line, just like your pay. Now it deserted so you and I could keep our jobs. Unfortunate, but those days are long gone... 🙂

I used to give you more credit than that. don't settle for, "at least I have a job'. The state of US is not the fault of the employees. Exactly. Where did I come from, HP. We never had the luxuries that US once had. But at times, we had a great product at HP. The founders of the old America West were pioneers, and good people, unforutunetly things went sour after our first bk, and the mgmt style hasn't changed since. But yes, I am glad to have a job, not the best airline, but I am hopeful. 🙂

This sh*t does not surprise me one bit. I had a captain tell me once, that a very senior f/a told him she should have the ONE remaining commuter hotel room( which he had reserved) because she was senior to him. Seniority means you get your block and vacation choices first. Nothing more, nothing less. It doesn't make you superior or better in any way. Southwest is first come, first served in boarding their own passengers. Who the f**k doesn't know that ??????? I can just imagine the old IDIOT in action. PATHETIC !!!!!!!! When you fly Southwest, go to their boarding area, get your seat, get on board and shut the f**k up. We are very lucky to have this benefit.

Amen...We're fortunate to have the ability to ride on other airlines at a substantial cost...
Yesterday US was full between PBI and DCA so I had to take AirTran thru ATL...for $30 It's a good deal...
If we have stupid f**king morons ruin this for us...so help us god...

Driving Time would be approximately 5:28 Hours from House to Parking Lot and does not include a meal or beverage service.

The drive from PIT-PHL is 4.5 to 5 hours. It's not a bad drive by any means. With gas prices as high as they are and the tolls it's not cheap The Amtrak train leaves downtown Philly around 12:45pm and get into the station in downtown Pittsburgh at 7:45pm(ish). The cost of the train (being a little longer) is $45.00. You can upgrade to the first (quiet) car for 20.00. If you are going home and have the time try it. You can have a drink and lunch/dinner in the dining car. It beats the filling of a tank and the approx $16.00 in tolls.
As for these stories of flight attendants and their damn seniority....does it apply if we are both in uniform in line at the local grocery store after work? I mean really? Should the more senior one go FIRST there too? I'm one for seniority but I do agree that the basis of being rewarded for your job solely on how long you have been here is not always a good way of doing it. We do have some wacko's out there that shouldn't be doing the job. They are truly crazy but are not supervised to see it. I'm not necessarily talking about the very senior f/a's when I say that either. Some have been doing his job so long, are single with no friends and have turned completely neurotic.
