BTW dell, GREAT vid!

In case your wondering if I was going to chime in on this. I want the Seahawks to win but if they don't it is not a big deal. I just want a good game to watch. Blowouts are no fun. Give me a nail-biter on the edge of your seat game and I'll be happy. You know, kinda like the Rose Bowl game this year( by the way wasn't even played on New Years Day.....what's up with that  ).

...Neil O'Donnell...

Here's my skewed view of Neil:

Neil O'Donnell got us there only to become the MVP for the Dallas Cowboys. I lived in Dallas at the time. I expected gloating by the Cowboy fans I knew but there was none. They knew we lost the game ourselves rather than them winning it outright.

We were quick to get rid of Neil (Jets offered him a ton of money we didn't match) for Kordel which was at the time thought to be an upgrade. Neil turned out to be a big "O" for the Jets as well. With that being said any Titan fans have any complains about Neil? He seemed to do well there.

Also, if I can remember right during the slump this year when both Ben and Charlie Batch were injured. Tommy Gun was firing blanks that Neil was called as a potential back up and he refused.

I think I heard this either on ESPN, KDKA, or some other sports talk show. Does anybody else remember this?

Finally, though we are here for the big game after having our hearts broken last year.

ONE FOR THE TUMB BABY!

PONTIAC, Mich. (AP) - Pittsburgh linebacker Joey Porter kept up his verbal barrage against the Seahawks, saying Thursday the Steelers will be so physical in the Super Bowl they will try to make Seattle quit playing.

"We're going to try to tap out as many people as we can, I'm going to put it like that," Porter, a three-time Pro Bowl selection, said at the Steelers players' final pre-Super Bowl news conference. "We're going to try to send as many people to the sideline as we can."

The Pittsburgh Steelers make it real difficult for anyone who isn't a fan to want them to win SBXL. As if ending a marquis quarterback's career in Cinci just a few games ago wasn't enough for them.... the team should be ashamed to have a player like Porter with them.

HERE'S HOPING THE STEELERS GET SHALACKED ON SUNDAY!

Porter is abrasive, that's his style. He's the kind of player you hate unless he's on your team. Let's see if he backs it up on the field.

Next.

Did you ever see the hit Cleveland's Turkey Jones placed on Terry Bradshaw? He flipped him over dropped him on his neck and knocked him out of the game. That is what is called intentionally putting some one out of the game.

What happened to Palmer was nothing like that.

Here's a quote by Bill Cowher about Carson Palmer:

“We knew there would be emotions in this game. There was a lot that was being said leading up to this game, none of which I want to get into. We understood that this was a rivalry game. This is a rivalry team. Certainly the playoffs are here; there was a lot leading up to this game. There were a lot of emotions. What happened with Carson was nothing that was intentional and I don’t think anyone would interpret it that way. It was an unfortunate accident, really.â€￾

The irony is it was an ex-Bengal that hit Palmer.

Finally, Steelers earned there right to be there this year. This was an exceptional year for the AFC where teams like Kansas City and San Diego didn't even make the cut.

Unlike the NFC who's teams sort of drifted along this year Seattle being the best of them.

ONE FOR THE TUMB BABY! GO STEELERS!

wnbubbleboy..... You're missing my point. What he said is in very poor taste. Abrasive? No... it's completely inappropriate, if not in violation of the NFL code of conduct, if you ask me.

Also, any team that makes it to the championship has earned their way there... you don't "happen" upon a Superbowl.

Now this is a real classy dude. He wants to win by hurting players. There is a big difference btween playing tough and playing to hurt. The Raiders used to have someone that bragged like this. They called him "the assasin".

I think this is taken out of context. Think more along the lines of a boxing match. To me he is saying that the Steelers are going to hit them so hard that they will not want to come out of the corner (sideline).

Jack Tatum. Steelers faced him back in the 70's, he was the cause of the "Immaculate reception" when his hit on Frenchy Fuqua knocked the ball loose an Franco caught it an ran in for the TD. With todays rules Tatum's style of play would knock him out of the game.

With all due respect I did not get that from his statement. His statement was he would send them to the sideline, as if they were on the field and had to leave. I guess we just see it differently. Go Seahawks/Steelers or whoever????
