JOINT MEMO: CBA EXTENSION AGREEMENT IN PRINCIPLE REACHED

Memorandum Date: To: From: Subject: June 3, 2023 Aircraft Technicians and Related Southwest and AMFA CBA Extension Agreement in Principle Reached We’re extremely pleased to share that on June 2, 2023, Southwest and the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association (AMFA) reached an Agreement in Principle (AIP) to extend the current Collective Bargaining Agreement for our Mechanics and Related Employees through August 16, 2027. An AIP is achieved when both negotiating teams have come to a general agreement on the terms of the extension, but additional time is needed to review and finalize language. Once complete, a Tentative Agreement (TA) will be announced, and Employees will receive all the details prior to voting. We are extremely proud of the effort, partnership, and professionalism shown by both parties in working toward this industry-leading agreement, and we thank you for your patience as we finish the final steps of this process.
