Thx gizmo. I think this is very smart. Why pay top dollar for something you can get for pennies on the dollar and it will bridge the gap up to the deliveries of the new and improved MAX 7. Another move by the company to be sure SWA reaches the 15% RIOC in the 2013 year as promised.
Read over on airliners.net that RyanAir was getting rid of some used 737-800's wonder if SWA would be interested in some of those. I am sure depending on the price anything is possible.
To go by a name brand (airline) is lame, since probably most heavy checks were out sourced anyways, it won't matter. If the Frame meets WN's criteria and the monies are worth it, they will take it. Much like shopping on a used car lot!
